DAY 8- “From a Mother’s Heart”
“I’ve watched you grow through seasons, storms, and sunlight — and every version of you has been beautiful. You’ve carried grace I didn’t always have, strength I recognize, and light that keeps shining no matter what. “Father, before I was anyone’s child, before I was given a name or placed in anyone’s arms — I was Yours.
You called me daughter before the world called me daughter to her.
You knew the story I would walk into — the gaps, the confusion, the longing for love that didn’t always know how to express itself. You saw the woman who would carry me, and You knew she wouldn’t have all the tools, all the healing, or all the readiness.
But You still chose her.
And You still chose me.
So, Lord, I thank You for equipping me — not to resent, but to redefine.
Thank You for teaching me how to love a mother who was still learning to love herself.
Thank You for giving me eyes to see her pain instead of only her patterns.
Thank You for letting me be the bridge, the soft place, the seed of restoration in a story that could’ve ended in silence.
When I felt unseen, You saw me.
When I felt unheard, You whispered truth.
When I felt unloved, You wrapped me in a love no parent could undo.
You made me strong enough to forgive, soft enough to stay open, and wise enough to understand that broken people still build families.
God, help me to continue honoring her — not because she was perfect, but because she’s part of Your plan. Help me love her without expectation, pray for her without judgment, and thank You for her without conditions.
When memories ache, give me peace.
When old wounds try to speak, remind me that healing has already answered them.
When I feel the urge to harden, remind me that I was Your daughter before I was her child — and that identity gives me the grace to keep loving without losing myself.
Lord, I know You chose me to bring light where love needed learning.
You trusted me to grow through it, not be broken by it.
And for that — I thank You.
Because being Your daughter first taught me how to forgive deeply, love freely, and rise softly — even in the places where I had to raise myself.
Amen.”
